We are a group of American high school students who want to help integrate Spanish-speaking immigrants to our country and help foster their success through a range of efforts. Many of us are the children or grandchildren of Spanish-speaking immigrants. In fact, the student who started the organization, Owen Craig, is a second generation Cuban-American who was inspired to start this project by the stories of his relatives, who lacked any real knowledge of the American financial system and the American culture when they journeyed from Havana to Miami after the Revolution. Some of their stories are admittedly humorous but those stories also highlight financial and cultural challenges immigrants face. We hope our efforts make the transition easier for Spanish-speaking immigrants.
